The Beast

This long covered section of track used to house skid brakes.  Since the trains were going so quickly, it took a long segment of brakes to bring the trains to a halt.  Magnetic brakes have replaced the skid brakes in the last decade, but the long straight track leading from the end of the ride to the end of the station remains.
