Vortex

Wonder Mountain opened in 1981.  In 1986, the powered coaster named Blauer Enzian was placed within the man-made mountain and was renamed Thunder Run.  In 1991, Vortex was built.  Its lift hill and first drop were placed over the mountain.  Because of the new coaster, the pathway that led to an observation deck at the top of Wonder Mountain was closed to the public.  Visitors are no longer allowed to walk up the mountain.  The Wonder Mountain's Guardian coaster was added to the mountain in 2014.
