Mad Mouse

The bottom piece of track has anti-rollback ratchets.  These prevent the trains from rolling back down the lift hill if the chain lift stops or brakes.  Underneath each train is a clutch or 'dog' which engages these saw-tooth shapes.  This creates the loud clicking sounds that most coasters make while a train ascends the lift.
