Wicked

Two sets of Linear Synchronous Motors (LSMs) provide acceleration on this ride.  The first group accelerates each car horizontally in the launch tunnel.  After exiting the tunnel, cars pitch 90 degrees up and are further accelerated while climbing this hill due to the electromagnetic propulsion given by the LSMs on the right side of this picture.

If either LSM fails to impart enough speed to a car, sets of brakes safely stop the car during the roll-back.
