Balder is one of four wooden coasters made with "prefabricated track." Traditional wood coaster track is made on-site by building up seven to nine layers of wood, but this track is pre-made at the factory. It is milled in long segments and made to precise specifications. The end of each section of track has a metal piece that snaps onto the next track piece.
