Like other launched coasters, Kanonen can be subjected to a rollback if a train doesn't gain enough momentum to crest the "Top Hat" hill. After the launch out of the station, dozens of sets of steel fins in the track are raised up in order to interact with the train-mounted magnets if the train rolls backward toward the station.
