Dragon Mountain

The lift hill climbs up 57 metres (186 feet), but because it climbs up the side of the mountain, the top of the lift is only a few dozen feet above the ground.  This tall lift gave the coaster the title of World's Tallest Roller Coaster from 1983 until May of 1989.  It eclipsed the Loch Ness Monster whose 130-foot lift gave it the record from 1978 until 1983.   Dragon Mountain lost the record in 1989 when Magnum XL-200 opened with a 205-foot-tall first hill.

All three of these record-setting coasters were built by Arrow.
