Carl Miler started the Miler Manufacturing Company in 1940. His company, which was later called Miler Coaster, Inc., made several dozen small and portable coasters. Cyclone is one of the largest roller coasters the company ever built. Carl passed away in 2001, but his son Fred Miler, and Fred's son Eric Miler, continue to build roller coasters in Portland, Oregon under the E&F Miler Industries company name.
