Here the train is exiting the Diving Loop, the second of four inversions.

In 2003, Mantis got a new paint job.  While it looks similar in this picture to the original paint scheme, careful viewers will notice one small change.  Its rails were unpainted (seen in this old picture of Mantis) until they received a red coat in 2003, seen in the picture shown here.  These bare rails used to be very common on B&M coasters because that company did not allow any of their coasters' running rails to be painted until 1999.
