Millennium Force

Here is a newer view of the coaster's last turn.  Millennium Force may look the same, but the area surrounding it has changed a lot in the last two decades.  The 136-foot-tall Giant Wheel, one of the largest Ferris Wheels in North America, sat here from 1972 until October 1999 when it was relocated to make room for this ride's final turn seen here.  In the previous two pictures, you could see where the Wildcat coaster sat from 1979 to 2011.  You can even see how its paint scheme changed from 2000 to 2003.  The ride was demolished in 2011.  The brown Valravn now sits just to the east of Millennium Force's last turn and covers the land previously occupied by Wildcat.  The large screen for the laser light show was set up in 1995, and it can be seen in the past two shots, but was taken down and replaced by the "Luminosity" show in 2012.
