Top Thrill Dragster

The grey metal in the middle of the yellow supports is used to transport a service elevator up and down the structure.   After almost a decade of operation, the nearly identical Kingda Ka had a free-fall ride added to the existing roller coaster supports.   Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom, like the coaster it is attached to, was built by Intamin.  Its three 8-passenger cars are hoisted up 415 feet, then dropped straight down.  The car's freefall lasts about six seconds before linear magnets decelerate the cars with a g-force of about 3.5 g's.  To date, Cedar Point has not shown any interest in adding a drop ride to Dragster.
