Kingda Ka

This is the top of Kingda Ka's 456-foot hill.  Its sharp curve provides a good dose of airtime if the train is launched with enough speed to quickly pass this section of the track.  On some launches, the train slowly passes over this section which minimizes the amount of airtime.  But even if the train has a "slow" launch and crests the hill at a leisurely pace, the launch still is over 120 miles per hour!

The vertical grey structure in the middle of the tower is a track for an elevator.  There are white doors for the elevator on each of the horizontal support beams.  There is also a stop for the elevator at the top of the tower, but its doors aren't visible from this angle.
