Pteranodon Flyers

Pteranodon Flyers is a single-rail suspended coaster with a rather complicated history.  Initial design work was done by the Dutch Caripro Rides and California's Spectra F/X company.  For some reason, Spectra F/X started construction on the ride based on Caripro's design, but the ride was never completed, as Spectra F/X went out of business.  Universal Studios may have been unaware of Caripro's initial involvement, so they started looking for another company to complete the coaster.  Setpoint Incorporated came in, finished the ride, and patented some of the coaster's technology.  Setpoint later built three similar rides in other parks.  In 2010, Setpoint's Canopy Flyer, another single-rail suspended coaster, opened at Universal Studios Singapore.
