Greased Lightnin'

This Schwarzkopf shuttle loop opened as Tidal Wave in 1978.  It was renamed and rethemed in 1999.  After serving over 30 million passengers in its twenty-five years of operations, Greased Lightnin' was removed from Paramount's Great America in 2002.

When the ride left Great America, it was shipped to Six Flags Marine World.  For several years, it has remained there in storage.  In 2006, some parts were shipped to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom where they were used for spares on their shuttle loop named Greased Lightnin'.
