Beast

        The legendary Beast opened in 1979 as the world's longest roller coaster.  It held that record for about 12 years until it's length was topped by a steel coaster in England, The Ultimate at Lightwater Valley.  Today, it's still the longest wooden roller coaster with an astonishing 7,359 foot (2,243 meter) track length.
