Son of Beast

Son of Beast was the first modern wooden coaster to have a loop.  As of 200, it was still the only modern wooden roller coaster that had a loop.  Surprisingly, the loop was the smoothest part of the ride due to its steel structure.

The loop was removed from the ride in late 2006.   This allows lighter trains to run on the track.  Be sure to check out the next picture to see how the ride was modified!
