Flight Deck

Flight Deck is really fun, but is way too short.  It is one of only a couple Arrow suspended coasters with just one lift hill.  It is 2,352 feet long and 78 feet high.

The cars on Flight Deck are free to swing laterally just like on Arrow's first suspended coaster, The Bat.  The Bat ran at Kings Island from 1981 until 1983 when maintenance issues forced its closure.  One problem was that the track was not banked like the track shown in this picture.  This forced caused tremendous stresses on the cars, wheels, and shock absorbers.  In fact, some shocks would have to be replaced after only one week of operation!
