Backlot Stunt Coaster

The Italian Job: Stunt Track ride opened in May 2005.  (The name changed in 2008)  The coaster, patterned after the 2003 Italian Job movie, was built by Premier Rides.  The cars on this ride are shaped like the MINI Cooper cars used in the movie.  Each train consists of just three cars.

Instead of a conventional lift hill, the Italian Job coaster uses Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) to accelerate the trains.  Launches are accompanied by the sounds of screeching tires.
