Intimidator

A lot of people ask me what it takes to be a roller coaster designer.  I always suggest that a degree in mechanical engineering is required as a start.  This pile of engineering drawings shows the detail required in designing and manufacturing a modern steel roller coaster like Intimidator.  I would love to show more drawings, but restrictions on intellectual property prevented me from photographing anything more than these simple drawings.
