December 31 - As 2004 draws to a close, let me unleash one more park on you: Enchanted Village/Wild Waves. How quickly 2004 went by! I am sorry that I only added a little over a dozen parks to CoasterGallery.com this year, but since I have pictures ready from six more parks, I know that 2005 will see lots of additions to the Gallery. December 19 - While I work on my Enchanted Village pages, I will give you another shameless plug: Be sure to check out the new items on the Merchandise Page. It is not too late to order last minute Christmas gifts like the amazing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, the educational Coney Island Lost and Found, and astounding Mouse Tales - A Behind-The-Ears Look at Disneyland. December 10 - There are numerous additions to CoasterGallery.com this week. The other big news this week is that Hersheypark cancelled it's 2005 coaster, Turbulence. There were reports that the $2 million coaster was going to be at least $1 million over budget, but there might be other reasons for them backing out of the deal. Hersheypark has filed a federal lawsuit against Interactive Rides as part of this contract dispute. November 7 - The Coney Island (Astroland and Dino's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park) pictures have finally been released. I am sorry it took so long, but I spent a lot of time researching Coney Island history. I hope you appreciate the amount of information about the various parks and 50 coasters that used to operate at Coney Island. So what park do you think I should add next? October 24 - I have good news, and I have bad news. The good news is that I just got back from Las Vegas where I visited four new parks, so I have lots of new pictures! And if that isn't enough, I am traveling again this weekend so I can hit a few more parks before they close for the winter. The bad news is that since I have been out of town, I haven't had time to add new pictures to the website. But don't worry, I will get to the new pictures as soon as possible. October 1 - I have been adding lots of information about 2005's coasters, but here are three I am really looking forward to:
August 28 - This is just like last summer... I am busy taking new pictures, so the updates are a little slow. But I have added news about Kings Island's new Italian Job coaster, and Six Flags Great Adventure's unnamed 2005 Intamin coaster. August 1 - PNE Playland has been on my Search Pages for a while, but I think the park's pages are finally ready for the general public. July 28 - Today I made public the Former Park Names Search page. I also updated a number of Japan pages to reflect new park and coaster names. I am almost ready to unveil the next park, so careful Gallery viewers will know where to 'search' for it this week... if you find it, let me know if you find any mistakes or typos please! July 17 - The Six Flags Elitch Gardens pages are done. Be sure to checkout Halfpipe! July 7 - I know I should be finishing the Coney Island pages, but that park has so much history that I really need to spend more time on it. So for now, you get to view the latest of my 'historical' pictures. Thanks to my father, James A. Rogers, we get a glimpse into the old Kings Island with two pictures from 1978! July 2 - Added new pictures from Dollywood, including many shots taken from a helicopter. Also added information about Busch Gardens Tampa's new unannounced coaster, DelGrosso's two new coasters, Carowinds' relocated coaster, Lakemont's removed coaster, and more. June 24 - Disney's Animal Kingdom is the 75th park in CoasterGallery.com. I have been traveling a lot recently, so the updates have been slow this month. But I promise to make it up to you... Lots of new pictures are on the way! May 27 - First of all, let me again thank all of you who wrote to wish me congratulations on my new baby! Isabel is doing well and gets bigger and more beautiful every day. I will sneak some more baby pictures in here someday. As far as Gallery updates... lots of changes around the website this month. Some of the more notable ones include the change from Six Flags Worlds of Adventure to Geagua Lake and the renaming of most of their coasters, the change from Big Chief Carts and Coasters to Mt. Olympus, new paint schemes on coasters from several parks, and details that are emerging about new 2004 and 2005 coasters from a wide variety or parks. No room here for all the changes, so just surf around and see what you can find! March 18 - The new additions are coming quickly now... Celebration City has been added. March 12 - See Timberland Twister in operation before it opens to the public! March 11 - Six Flags sells its Ohio park and European parks! Cedar Fair purchases Six Flags Worlds of Adventure! I also added a press release describing Six Flags Elitch Gardens' new Halfpipe coaster. March 8 - I have added details about coasters currently being constructed at DelGrosso's, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Over Georgia, SeaWorld San Antonio, Busch Gardens Tampa, and more. February 27 - Fun Forest added! February 6 - Pictures of Camp Snoopy's Timberland Twister under construction have been added. Also added details about other new 2004 coasters such as Ragin' Cajun. February 1 - Another park? You bet! SeaWorld Orlando has been added. Any guesses how many coasters we have documented now? January 17 - Old Town is the 71st park to be documented by CoasterGallery.com. Enjoy! January 13 - New Disneyworld pictures. Also added information Knott's Berry Farm's new Silver Bullet. January 4 - For the first park of 2004, I am unveiling DelGrosso's Amusement Park.
