This is was originally named after Tony Hawk, arguably the world's most famous skateboarder.  A "Big Spin" is combination of a 360-degree shuvit and a body varial skateboarding move.

While waiting in line, patrons used to be able to watch videos of Tony Hawk.  Also, a large picture of Tony was mounted on top of the coaster.  In 2010, Six Flags terminated most of its marketing agreements with celebrities, so the coaster was renamed Pandemonium in 2011.
