Great American Scream Machine

When I climbed up the structure of the Great American Scream Machine, I was amazed by how much it shook when the train flew by.  I was hanging on with one hand while taking pictures with the other.  (I loved every minute of it!  Thanks SFGA!)

After leaving the block brakes, trains encountered the two inversions in this Batwing maneuver.  In order to control the speed of the train in the last four inversions, the block brakes also acted as trim brakes and brought the trains to a complete halt.  This was in addition to a single trim brake that was installed after the first loop during the coaster's first season.  That added a little bit of drag and slowed the train a little, but did not have the power to completely stop the train like the set of block brakes.
