There have been a few hybrid coasters that are the opposite of Silver Comet. They feature steel track and wood supports. Most of those are small mine-train coasters. Here are some of the steel coasters with wood supports that I have ridden: Adventure Express at Kings Island, Bobsleds at Seabreeze, Carolina Goldrusher at Carowinds, Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point, Dahlonega Mine Train at Six Flags Over Georgia, Excalibur at Valleyfair, Gemini at Cedar Point, Mini Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas, River King Mine Ride at Six Flags St. Louis, Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas, and Thunderation at Silver Dollar City.
