Sky Wheel

When I visited this park, the rate of dispatches on this coaster gave an hourly capacity of less than 250 riders an hour, one of the lowest throughputs that I have seen on a roller coaster.  Most large coasters have a capacity of 1,200 to 1,800 passengers per hour.  On the other end of the spectrum, Cedar Point's Gemini has a theoretical capacity of 3,300 riders per hour.  Of course this is not a fair comparison since that ride has two tracks and six 30-passenger trains, but it does show why a one-train ride like Sky Wheel will always have a slow-moving line.
