In 2016, this ride became the first Virtual Reality Coaster. Riders now have the option to wear a Samsung Gear VR headset while on the ride. I am a big technology geek, but I am not sure that the new VR Coaster is a good idea. A flying coaster gives people on the ride some amazing visuals as the trains go up and over trees, segments of track, walkways, and more. The view from quickly skimming over the rocks and plants is pretty wonderful, and I would hate to lose it because I am looking at a phone.
