Nemesis sits in the Forbidden Valley section of Alton Towers. From 2012 to 2015, Nemesis: Sub-Terra operated right next to the Nemesis coaster. That ride was an indoor drop-tower ride that used the same creepy alien theme featured on Nemesis. Nemesis: Sub-Terra featured a story that one of the Nemesis creature's eggs was on display. While viewing the egg, riders' seats dropped 6 metres (20 feet) in darkness while sound effects and blasts of air made it seem as if some sort of alien creature was attacking. It was a very intense experience made even scarier by live actors shouting and adding to the drama.
