This roller coaster originally opened in 1999 as Python Pit at the Jeepers Family Entertainment Center in Methuen, Massachusetts. The Jeepers chain, which often listed its name as Jeepers! with an exclamation point, first opened in the 1997 and had 21 locations at its peak. Nearly every Jeepers FEC had a Python Pit family roller coaster. Many of its locations closed down around 2006 and the remaining ones closed a few years later. In 2016, a new Jeepers! opened in a mall in Sterling Heights, Michigan, but it does not appear to have any connections to the previous Jeepers chain.
