Custom Coasters International (CCI) was founded in 1991 and built 34 roller coasters before the company was shut down and liquidated in 2002. (As of 2018, 29 CCI coasters are still operating and two have been converted to steel coasters.) After CCI's demise, four of its engineers, Larry Bill, Chad Miller, Korey Kiepert, and Michael Graham, formed The Gravity Group. That new company is based in Ohio and built two dozen coasters between 2005 and 2018.
