Kawasemi

This coaster is the first of five "Mega-Lite" coasters built by Intamin Amusement Rides.  The "Mega-Lite" installations are all identical to each other.  Intamin still advertises the model for sale on their website, but the last copy was built in 2017.  In order of appearance, here are the "Mega-Lite" rides, all of which are still in operation:

  1. 2008 - Kawasemi at Tobu Zoo in Japan, the coaster seen here.
  2. 2008 - Piraten at Djurs Sommerland in Denmark. It opened two months after Kawasemi.
  3. 2009 - Fly Over Mediterranean at Happy Valley in Sichuan, China.
  4. 2009 - Mega-Lite at Happy Valley in Shanghai, China. It opened eight months after Fly Over Mediterranean.
  5. 2017 - Light Speed at Visionland in Guangxi, China.

It is a little confusing to say "Happy Valley" in China, because there are at least nine amusement parks with that name in the country.  And if that were not bad enough, there are at least nine other parks in China whose names are the city's name followed by the words Happy Valley!
