The white sections of the Zumanjaro tracks are the linear magnetic braking system.  This fail-safe mode of slowing the cars uses magnets on the three cars and the white metal fins on the tracks to gently slow the cars.  Cars reach their terminal velocity of 90 miles per hour in the roughly 300-foot freefall before the brakes smoothly slow the cars to a very slow descent speed.  Riders are briefly subjected to 3.5 g's of deceleration as the trains first encounter the brakes.

Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom is attached to the 457-foot-tall World's Tallest Roller Coaster, and it holds the record as the World's Tallest Drop Tower with a drop of 415 feet.  The second tallest drop tower is Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom, a 400-foot-tall drop ride attached to 415-foot Superman: Escape from Krypton, formerly Superman The Escape, at California's Six Flags Magic Mountain.  The third tallest drop tower is the 377-foot-tall The Giant Drop which is attached to the 390-foot-tall Tower of Terror II, formerly Tower of Terror, at Australia's Dreamworld.  All three of these drop towers, and the three coasters they are attached to, were built by Intamin.
