Loch Ness Monster's 130-foot-tall lift hill and 60 miles per hour speed gave it the title of the World's Tallest and Fastest Roller Coaster when it opened in 1978. Today, there are rides that go twice as fast and are nearly four times as tall. Busch Gardens Williamsburg alone presently has four coasters taller than Loch Ness!
