Sand Serpent

Sand Serpent was built by the German Mack GmbH company.  They are known as the company that built the first modern Wild Mouse coasters, and this ride is one of over two dozen "Wilde Maus" models built by Mack.  The ride was called Cheetah Chase from its opening in Florida in 2004 until it was changed to Sand Serpent in 2011.  This was accomplished because the park decided to name a nearby coaster Cheetah Hunt.  It was deemed that having two coasters with a Cheetah name would be too confusing.
