Primeval Whirl is a standard "Spinning Coaster" from Reverchon. While there are about two dozen other "Spinning Coaster" models at other parks, Disney made some unique modifications to Primeval Whirl. For example, they placed a lot of dinosaur props all over the ride.
A little less noticeable are the retractable railings next to the track. In this picture, you can see the blue railing and the steel cables below it. The railing has been lowered in order to provide better views from the coaster. During maintenance and ride evacuations, the rails raise up to provide a safe walkway.
