After making SLCs for about 25 years, Vekoma recently announced that it is ceasing production of this design. It plans to start building Suspended Thrill Coasters in 2020, the successor to the Suspended Looping Coaster model. The company has stated that the STCs will come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but because none have been constructed yet, it remains to be seen what will actually be sold and built.
