Bowcraft Playland
Scotch Plains, New Jersey

     Located about fifteen miles west of Newark, this family amusement park has a nice selection of rides for children and teens, but their latest coaster is big enough to be enjoyed by adults.  The park was originally called Bowcraft Amusement Park, but the name changed in 2007.  Before the 1970s, archery and arts and crafts were offered here, hence the Bowcraft name.  In the 1990s, scenes from the movies "North" and "Mortal Thoughts" were filmed at the park.
