Steel Vengeance

When this coaster was built, it was a wood coaster called Mean Streak.  It was 161 feet tall and 5,427 feet long, and it took about 1.7 million board feet of lumber to build.  If you took the wood and put the pieces end to end, it would be about 320 miles long!

This 1999 image was one of the first pictures I ever posted on the internet.  Since then, CoasterGallery.com has expanded and covers about 1,000 roller coasters in over 100 amusement parks!
