GateKeeper

GateKeeper represents a huge capital investment the Cedar Fair company made into Cedar Point.  The coaster and new entrance plaza cost an impressive $30 million.  Over 100 workers from four different engineering companies were employed to create the footers, erect the coaster, build the station and gift shop, and install the two keyhole towers and entrance plaza.  Over 12 million pounds of concrete were used to make the 200 footers and the supporting areas around the coaster and park entrance.
