Wild One

Another fire damaged the Giant Coaster in 1963.  John C. Allen and PTC helped rebuild the ride, but in order to save money, the coaster was redone without the final two bunny hops and the double helix ending.  The shortened ride gave the park an affordable way to salvage the damaged coaster.  A few years later, Paragon Park purchased trains off of the Comet coaster from the defunct Forest Park Highlands amusement park, so the Giant Coaster ran for several years with Comet on its trains.
