Riddler's Revenge
The first stand-up coasters opened in 1982 when TOGO added stand-up trains to two existing coasters in Japan: Dangai at Thrill Valley, and Momonga Standing and Loop Coaster at Yomiuriland.  The first two stand-ups in the United States were also existing rides that received standing trains.   Arrow Dynamics put new trains on the Screamroller at Worlds of Fun in 1983 and changed the ride into Extremeroller, but the original sit-down trains returned only a year later.  Arrow placed stand-up rolling stock on the River King Mine Train at Six Flags Over Mid-America in 1984 and changed the ride into Rail Blazer, but it too only lasted one year until sit-down trains were returned to the ride.
