Steel Phantom

Here is the bottom of the first drop.  (Please don't stand here when the Phantom is operating!)  This section of track remained when most of Phantom was torn down to create Phantom's Revenge.

This first drop is a rather tall 157 feet.  But the second drop is the really exciting one.  When it opened in 1991, Phantom had the world's largest drop of 225 feet.  Because the train has such speed entering the second hill, this was the world's fastest coaster for nearly a decade.
