Texas Giant

The Texas Giant has been slightly modified since it opened in 1990, but it is going to be closed for the entire 2010 season as part of a $10 million rehab.  Surprisingly, the coaster is going to be redone with steel track.  It is going to be one of a small number of roller coasters built with wood supports and steel track.

This coaster was built by Dinn & Summers.  The next year they created Mean Streak, a ride that is similar to this one.
