Located in a secluded area in the middle of the Southern Ostrobothnian countryside not far from the Gulf of Bothnia, PowerPark got started in 2000 when Jorma Lillbacka opened the massive Mika Salo Circuit go-kart track. The 1 km track has seating for nearly 2,000 people! The area quickly expanded with a hotel, restaurant, and camping area. Thrill rides came to the area when the PowerLand section opened in 2003. The name PowerLand has gradually disappeared as the entire complex is now referred to as PowerPark. PowerPark is also home to PowerPalace, Europe's largest indoor kart track.
