December 31 - Since this is the last 2003 entry, I
am going to reveal the next parks that will be added to CoasterGallery.com.
Here they are in no particular order: DelGrosso's Amusement Park,
Astroland/Coney Island, Celebration City, Old Town, Sea World Orlando,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, Silverwood Theme Park, Wild Waves and Enchanted Village,
Vancouver's Playland, and the Washington Fair. And if that is not
enough, I also have new pictures from Cedar Point, Disneyworld, and
Knott's Camp Snoopy. I have taken pictures from those parks already,
but I just need some time to edit the pictures and make the pages.
And as always, I am hoping to travel and visit even more parks, so these
updates will continue! Happy 2004!
December 14 - The Williams
Grove pages are done. I also placed more new items on the
Merchandise
Page. In
addition, I updated a ton of pages all over the Gallery... lots of details
on defunct, renamed, or relocated coasters.
November 30 - The Williams Grove pictures are not
quite ready, so I will unveil some other items this week. To help
you search for holiday gifts, be sure to check out my
Merchandise
Page. I have added lots of new items on that page for your
enjoyment. Also, I am revealing one of the CoasterGallery.com 'easter
eggs' that I have hidden around the Gallery. The Double
Loop has been on the Manufacturer
Search page for a few years, but I bet most of you have never even
noticed it!
November 23 - The Playland
pictures are ready. Now I only have nine more parks to add... this
will definitely keep me busy in the next few months!
November 14 - I haven't finished the Playland pages
yet, so you will have to settle for other coaster news this weekend.
Here are the biggest news items among all of the new details that have
been recently added: Thunder
Eagle is moving from Tennessee to Quebec, Mall of America is
adding the spinning coaster Timberland
Twister, and Worlds of Fun is removing Orient
Express to make room for another spinning coaster called Spinning
Dragons. October 27 - Dutch Wonderland has been unveiled as
the newest park. However, careful fans of the site have noticed that
it has been on the Search Pages for about two weeks. I typically do
this to give some people the chance to preview the pictures before they
are officially released. Also, I ask them to proof the pages to help
spot errors. So in the next few months, keep your eyes on those
pages and you just might get to see the next parks before they appear on
the home page!
October 17 - Wow! Has it really been three
weeks since I added new pictures? Besides being occupied with my new teaching job, I have been
busy traveling... and of course I visited some amusement parks! If
you look carefully at my Search
pages, you will get some hints of what
parks are going to be added to the Gallery in the next few months.
And if you search around the site very carefully, you will find links to a park that has
not even been added to my home page! September 27 - The new Hersheypark
pictures are done.
September 5 - As I finish my Dorney Park pictures, the
announcement comes out that Hercules is being removed. To be honest,
I am not too upset. Age has not been very kind to it, and it gives an
extremely rough ride these days. But the really exciting news is that it will be replaced
by a B&M floorless coaster in 2005. I also updated the
site to reflect the fact that Stealth
is moving from Paramount's Great
America to Carowinds.
Meanwhile... enjoy my
Talon pictures. August 22 - The Indiana
Beach Pages are done. Now I can move on to the pictures from my
early August trip. I will be adding new pictures from Cedar Point,
Lakemont, Hersheypark, and Dorney Park. And if that is not enough, I
will be adding the following parks: William's Grove, Dutch
Wonderland, Playland, and Coney Island. And once those are done,
CoasterGallery.com will be adding another country to its coverage!
But since I begin teaching next week, it is going to be a little while
until the new parks are added... so please don't email and ask when they
are going to be done. I will get to them as quickly as I can!
August 17 - I know I promised Indiana Beach would be the
next park... but I am surprising you with new Superman Ultimate Flight
pictures from Six
Flags Great America. Also, there are a couple of new pictures of
older coasters. Check out what is left of Shockwave!
But don't worry... Just a few more days before the new Indiana Beach pages
are made public. August 14 - The Kiddieland
pictures are released. As for other pictures... I just returned home
from visiting ten amusement parks! The majority of places I have
never been to before, so CoasterGallery.com is going to be adding a lot of
new locations and some great historic coasters.
August 13 - Added details about coasters coming in 2004 to
Hersheypark and Dollywood.
August 6 - If you are visiting
amusement parks in the next two weeks, keep your eyes open. Look for
Joel and Jeff. (Need help? Click
here for a picture of Joel on the left, and Jeff on the right.)
They might even have on their CoasterGallery.com
T-shirts. If you do see them, be sure to stop and say
hello. Joel and Jeff will visiting numerous parks in Ohio,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.

Beach and Kiddieland are going to be the next two parks added
to the Gallery. In addition, there are going to be loads of new
pictures from Valleyfair, Six Flags Great America, Cedar Point, and
Kings Island.
